Before Your Appointment…

Please be familiar with our rules and feel free to ask questions!

Our Arrival Time – I will do our best to arrive during the time we arranged, but due to the nature of this business, I could run into situations out of our control. If I am running late I will contact you to let you know the adjusted arrival time.

No Show – If I arrive for an appointment and no one is there to release the dog to me, an invoice for 50% of the price of your regular groom will be left for you. This invoice will need to be paid before any future appointments will be made.

Cancellations All cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance. Failure to cancel before 48 hours could result in a cancellation fee up to 50% the price of your groom. I may also require you pre-pay for all future appointments.

Safety Concerns

Safety comes first for your dog and groomer. You must inform us if your dog has any aggressive tendencies or has bitten anyone. I will not continue grooming if your dog’s safety or my safety is at risk.

Health issues – Grooming can be stressful at times, and for senior dogs or dogs with health issues, this could aggravate existing conditions. Senior dogs and dogs with severe health issues will be groomed with comfort in mind.

Parasites – I reserve the right to refuse service to any dog with parasites. I will groom dogs that need flea or tick removal for an additional charge of $75. Parasites like fleas and ticks take additional time for the grooming process as well as our clean up to ensure that our van is parasite free for the next client. The additional charge covers the extra time for grooming and also the extra clean up time.

Mat Removal – When removing mats there is a risk of nicks or cuts to your pet. Pawz2groom will groom matted dogs slowly to reduce that risk. I prefer to shave a severely matted pet with the longest blade that will cut through the matted fur. I will give you all your options at the appointment before starting the groom if your dog is matted. I will also use skin soothing products to help sooth the skin during and after grooming, but sometimes dogs will still have irritated skin after grooming.

If it takes longer than normal to brush out your pet there is an extra charge of $1.00 per minute 30 minute maximum. Comfort for the pet is my priority, and dematting is not a pleasant experience for the pet. I would be happy to give you some tips to help keep your dog in tip-top shape between grooming appointments.
